Events for 2009?

There is a meeting in McDowell on Sunday, October 5th between the Highland Historical Society & representatives of the PSL to discuss the 2009 Highland fundraiser event. Hopefully, emerging from that meeting, we will be giving the campaigner community definitive information, date, place, etc., for next year’s event. Bob Denton will be showing me around Camp Alleghany on Saturday, the 4th. Anything the battalion does in terms of schedule for 2009 would flow off the Highland event.

We are also working now on the winter battalion meeting. It is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, January 24th, 2009, to be located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This is the weekend after the NFL Conference Championships, but the weekend before the Superbowl. It is when we traditionally hold our annual meeting. We are also exploring a special battlefield tour on Sunday morning.

Yes and no. I figure we'll pull something off but between everyone's real life issues we haven't gotten started yet, but typically in October we get moving pretty quick. I'll get back to everyone in about two weeks. Thanks for asking. Also, i'm sure it will be MLK weekend.

I'm with the 14th CT as well as a member of the 5th Va here in CT. The 14th CT is a member of the National Regt. and at our annual meeting last weekend, someone pitched the Assault on Allegheny event for Aug 2009.
I'm interested in either side, and will pass on info etc to the 14th CT and or the NR units here in CT. Keep me in the loop, thanks! Paul
