Work Weekends at Fort Delaware

I was recently sent an email soliciting volunteers to assist with preparation of the Fort Delaware site for the upcoming season. The following are the dates and descriptions:

"4/4/09 Park day sponsored by the Civil War Preservation Trust
9:00am-3:00pm
Park day is an annual event designed to bring Civil War enthusiasts together to help preserve our nation’s history and heritage throughout national civil war sites.
Park day’s activities will include grounds maintenance, cleaning, sweeping, dusting, moving equipment to the island and general maintenance of our park.

4/18/09 Fort Delaware Society’s Volunteer Brigade assembles from 9:00am to 3:00pm in order to clean and maintain the Fort in preparation for our busy season.

5/16/09 Fort Delaware Society’s Volunteer Brigade sponsors Armed Forces Day from 9:00am to 3:00 pm we need to continue to clean and maintain the Fort in preparation for our busy season."

If anyone is available to help out on any of those days, let me know. I wouldn't mind lending a hand as well!
