Wearing the Cartridge Box

At drill this weekend, we had discussed the wearing of the cartridge box. Should it be on a sling or the belt?

I think we have all seen images that show it both ways. Here is a collection of images on the Sykes Regular's website that show some different variations of it. It is a nice collection of images and they also have them dated to give you a time reference.

Thanks to Jeff also for bringing a properly loaded and weighted box to our Annual meeting so that we could get an idea of what it would feel like with 40 cartridges in it.
