OH WOW! I remember this book and these versions of each battle. I would literally go over each and every section of the battle and figure out what could be done to gain a Confederate victory. Man, such RICH memories! Thanks Dave! -Bill

About Me:
With almost 25 years reenacting experience I still love taking the field, and having exciting scenarios where we experience "magic moments" when we temporarily step back in time. Most proud of the accomplishments our battalion has made over the years for battlefield preservation. I am honored by the many lasting friendships I have made in the reenacting community. I hold special the time spent around the campfire with my Pards.

The General

This picture was a familiar sight to members of this battalion as they stood in formation for a number of years. The officer on horseback is General Don Patterson. I am eagerly looking up at him, seeking instructions. The date is April, 1995, the event the 130th Anniversary of Sailor’s Creek. It was Don’s last Sailor’s Creek.

Don Patterson was to many of us our “reenacting father”. As the head of the First Brigade, A.N.V., Don took this battalion under his wing and did whatever he coul

THE MARCH OF A LIFETIME!

The mounted photo of me that I just posted was taken as we started to assemble for the “March” to Marsh Creek at the 125th Anniversary event of the battle of Gettysburg. This spectacle of over 5,000 Confederates on the road was something every participant will never forget. It would be one of the most remarkable moments I have experienced in reenacting, and don’t know if anything like it can be recreated anytime soon.

Over the winter of 1987-88’, I was heavily involved in planning

Is there any information yet about the upcoming battalion meeting? Where, when? Hotel information etc..

I know that it is about 2 months away, but my Dec and Jan are looking hectic and I want to make sure I have the time planned for it.

Hey Dave,
Thanks so much for your concern and for the encouraging remarks at Fishers Hill. The surgery went well but I have still not gotten back the results so I'm still waiting. No news is good news in this situation so I am hoping for the best. Meanwhile my voice has improved considerably so I should be able to talk and enteract this weekend at Gettysburg which I am very much looking forward to. Thanks again Dave, you're a good buddy and I appreciate your friendship very much. See ya at Gettyysburg,
Brandon

Dave you can create albums and arrange photos within them to whatever order you like. I created one for 1980s re-enactments as an example.
